This is going an announcement post of an exciting opportunity that I was lucky enough to get during my time in Sorrento.
Now, some context. Shortly before I flew out to Italy our class was informed that we would be writing an article for the July edition of Surrentum. The Surrentum is a public magazine stationed in Sorrento. In this article, our mission was to discuss what Texas State students partnered with Sant'Anna University would be doing for the Sorrento community and our general deposition of being able to study abroad after the shutdowns caused by COVID-19.
As the class's resident writer who made writing one of their only personality traits, I was asked to take on this project.
So I'm pleased and excited to announce that I have a published article about our time studying abroad and aiding the community in Sorrento! As of right now, this article can only be found on The Surrentum so the link will be posted down below! Although I will discuss the chances of posting this article in my Portfolio and for viewing.
I'm so honored to have been entrusted with this incredible project. A massive thank you to the Surrentum for publishing my article and for allowing my voice to become part of your history and archives. Another thank you to the staff at the Sant'Anna Institute, a school dedicated to study abroad students and opportunities. To my Professor, Dr. Moria Di Mauro-Jackson for organizing such an amazing program and for being just a ray of sunlight (any Texas State Students looking for language credits: take her classes! She's wonderful!). My classmates for entrusting me with this project and for providing quotes and insight (also cheers to the extra credit).
More posts to come!
